29th Annual Working and Learning Conditions Survey

BCTLA is pleased to announce that the 29th Annual Working and Learning Conditions survey of B.C. public school libraries is now underway!

Between now and March 12, 2010, teacher-librarians or staff representatives from all B.C. public schools are invited to submit a survey response online.

School Libraries In Canada Winter Issue Published

The Canadian Association for School Libraries (CASL) publishes School Libraries in Canada, an online journal, several times each year. The latest issue (Winter 2010), with the theme "School Libraries Count", is now available at http://clatoolbox.ca/casl/slicv28n1/281contents.html.

Call for Proposals for the 2010 BCTLA Conference

The 2010 BCTLA Conference will be held in Kelowna on October 22-23, 2010 at Kelowna Secondary School. This year's theme is "KelownaFresh". Keynote speakers include Jamie McKenzie, and Donna DesRoches and Carolyn Walter.

"In addition to a comprehensive conference itinerary and keynote addresses, the KelownaFresh program includes special guests and social events. Presenters will have the opportunity to showcase and share new ideas, methods, and experiences with a wide range of professionals who advocate for school library programs in education".
